Fire protection systems are life-safety systems. We bring the same care to how we work on site as we do to the systems we design, install and maintain.

Licensing

Platinum Fire Systems is fully licensed with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission and satisfies all statutory and regulatory requirements to perform its services. Under QBCC Licence No. 1163411 we are licensed as a trade contractor for these fire protection disciplines:

• Fire Sprinkler and Suppression Systems
• Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
• Fire Hydrant & Hosereel Systems
• Fire Pumpset Systems
• Portable Fire Extinguishers and Fire Blankets
• Passive Fire Protection: Fire Collars, Penetrations & Joint Sealing
• Hydraulic Services Design

We use only suitably qualified and competent staff, including appropriately QBCC licensed subcontractors, across the design, construction and maintenance of every project.

Standards We Work To

We design, install, commission and maintain fire protection systems in line with the Building Code of Australia (National Construction Code), relevant Australian Standards, fire engineering solutions and, where specified, NFPA codes. Depending on the system, these include:

• AS 1851: Routine service of fire protection systems and equipment
• AS 2118: Automatic fire sprinkler systems
• AS 1670: Fire detection, warning, control and intercom systems
• AS 2419.1: Fire hydrant installations
• AS 2441: Installation of fire hose reels
• AS 2941: Fixed fire protection installations, pumpset systems
• AS 4214: Gaseous fire extinguishing systems

Workplace Health & Safety

It is company policy that achieving and maintaining high standards of workplace health and safety is a management objective and an important priority, as set out in our Workplace Health & Safety Policy.

• Our employees and subcontractors have the skills and training they need to carry out their work safely.
• Everyone carrying out the work receives relevant training, including OHS induction training.
• No worker carries out construction work until they have completed the minimum OHS induction training.

Our commitment to workplace health and safety is reflected in our low accident and incident record.

Quality

We have developed and implemented a fully documented Quality Assurance System, so our services satisfy both our clients and all relevant statutory requirements. Our Quality Policy gives consistent, integrated control over how we operate, and our management and staff fully support the Quality Management System and its ongoing development. We use products that meet stringent approval listings and safety standards, and we document our work so every system can be shown to be compliant.

Compliance Documentation for Our Clients

Owners and occupiers are responsible for keeping fire safety installations maintained. We help by providing clear records of the work we do, including commissioning and test results, inspection and testing reports, defect reports with recommended rectification, and certification of completed work, so you always have the documentation you need for your building.
